I'm Gerda and I'm one of the lucky ones, who  will travel to America tomorrow. On daily bases I study in a local highschool, dance folkdance and study music in a city nearby. I enjoy sunny weather, travelling, beautiful people, unpredictable books and days without homework. I believe America has been a destination, which I didn't dare to hope visiting until I'm at least an adult. But now given this chance I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

I'll see you when my english is 10x better,

Weekend with host-families... Carmen

Hello guys from Bloomington! We've been here since Friday and for me it have been really awe some time to be in U.S. But lets start with Friday - we ate breakfast and learned some teamwork, individual things and packed our things. When the bus took us, we drove to Bloomington. It was really sad to leave because there was so many amazing people around you. But the knowledge that we are going to meet  our host-families, today, took over all emotions. Baltic States youth before meeting their host-families in Indiana University Now the next thing - host-families. New family for two weeks. We get their names on Friday and about 3 hours after that we met them. I were so exited because I didn't knew nothing about them. Heey! My name is Kristina. I'm 16 years old. I'm from Kohtla-Jarve. I study at Ahtme Gymnasium. I love playing the guitar, reading, writing stories and meeting new people. I feel so happy and excited to go to the U.S. I have never participated in such kind of projects and to be honest I am a little bit nervous but I'm sure that it's going to be an awesome experience. At first, when I heard about this project I really wanted to try it but I wasn't sure if I should because it felt so unreal but my best friend persuaded me to try. So, after my application and a Skype inteview I got an email with my name in the list of other participants. I can't even describe how happy and proud I was. It was a dream come true to me. So, never be afraid of trying new things and always believe in yourself! So, I'm looking forward to this trip with our amazing, friendly, kind and funny team. We're glad to share our adventures with you!

Hello everyone out there, my name is Carmen Ceisy Lehter and I`m 15 years old, the youngest in Estonian group. I`m going to 9th grade at Tartu Karlova School . I'm so blessed to be here, in this living situation - in a few days, I am one of these young people who is going to the United States with the Youth Leadership Program . I can't wait for this experience and I need to admit that I'm a little bit nervous too, but in a good way. Now a little about me. I'm from Tartu, Estonia. It's like one of the biggest cities in Estonia, but now this is small for me and that's why I love this town. Here is everything I need and you can see a lot of nature here.
